I enjoyed listening to your show this morning whilst doing some woodwork.
I would say though that I think you spent too much time talking to unknown mortal orchestra.
Some artists are actually quite boring people, leading relatively sheltered and self-absorbed lives. What do you think about taking a more forthright and political approach to interviewing your guests on the show? What about questions like –
– What do you think caused the financial crisis in 2008?
– Who did you vote for in the recent election?
– What do you think the causes of the housing crisis are?
– Are you concerned about climate change?
And there are lots more I can send you if you’re interested.
Perhaps you might be worried asking these kinds of questions could be awkward? Maybe it would be. But what an awkwardness! The charged silence of synapses getting to grips with important questions. So much more interesting than what colour lightbulbs the lead singer needs to feel creative.
